Our residential rehab project has completed some major outdoor milestones related to the overall project.
We broke up and hauled away approximately 33 tons of concrete, brick and asphalt from the front yard, back yard and behind the garage. It was quite a project with a few surprises. We had almost 33% more concrete than we anticipated with duplicate concrete buried underneath old concrete and hidden underneath dirt.
We dug out the old, rusty window wells and replaced them with new ones.
The bases for the new driveway, new patio, both walkways (front and back) and new front step were dug out, sand and gravel added to the bases, and they were all framed. The backyard was also graded to ensure proper water drainage.
All this work passed inspection, and the new asphalt driveway was poured and paved, as well as the new walkways, patio and front step.
The broken windows were removed and are currently being repaired, we cleaned out the broken glass and removed the damaged and moldy drywall from both the second floor and basement.
A lot more work is coming up, that includes adding top soil, fertilizer and grass seed, other landscaping in front, roof repair, extensive plumbing and electrical work, HVAC, and more. Check back for more updates soon!
